Suspending Clemency And Pardon Applications

October 6, 2023 - A Statement From Governor Joshua Adamson

Today I(Governor Joshua Adamson) announced that I am hereby suspending Pardon/Clemency Requests during the year of 2024. I know that thousands of applications are submitted to my office each year, but this year there will be a backlog of applications. To combat this, I will have the Secretary Of State freeze these applications so that they are the first to be seen, by either myself, or whoever is elected Governor during the 2024 elections.

Those who have already submitted applications before October 1, 2023, will have them reviewed, and they will be mailed to the inmates lawyers or state appointed representative. These letters will arrive to their respective legal counsel between November 1, 2023 - March 1, 2024.

Signed,

Joshua Adamson

Governor Of Mesa
